The driver who allegedly swerved into four cyclists during the Marin Jesie Gran Fondo and then sped off has been arrested, reports SF Gate .  Thankfully a motorcyclist had a dashcam on his helmet and captured details of the pickup truck that struck the cyclists, which greatly helped CHP make the arrest. Family to casual to mildly strenuous group ride, benefitting San Mateo County Parks, and starting and finishing at Coyote Point Park , this Tour de Peninsula drew 2,000 cyclists in 2007 (before taking the year off in 2008). An Official Teaser has been posted in advance of a registration website.

Bicyclist killed during a fast descent

William Flint II was riding downhill on South Park Drive near the Grizzly picnic area at about 2 p.m. when his bicycle drifted into oncoming traffic, police said. He crashed into the side of a 2003 Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle. Read more at SFGate . Please descend safe out there. The thrill of the descent is no match for not making it home alive.
