Manhunt for SF man targeting bicycles with his SUV

The driver of a blue Nissan Rogue hit three male bicyclists before hitting a fourth victim and then crashing into a light pole and a parked Jeep Cherokee at the corner of 17th and Missouri streets. The motorist then fled from the vehicle on foot. Read more at the SF Chronicle .

ARTCRANK coming to SF Oct 24

ARTCRANK is a cycling art poster gathering. Bikes are the world’s most fun and accessible way to get around. Posters are the world’s most fun and accessible art form. ARTCRANK brings them together in a poster party for bike people. The Examiner reports that ARTCRANK is coming to SF on October 24 and has a quick interview with the creators. People are usually surprised at how different the vibe at ARTCRANK is, versus a more traditional art show. Bikers of every stripe like a good party, and that’s the atmosphere we try to create. The ideal show for me is a big roomful of people talking, laughing and having a good time looking at amazing bike-inspired artwork. And of course, taking a few posters home with them at the end of the night.

SF Sunday Streets back next year

Reports covering the last SF Sunday Streets are mentioning that the program will be back next year. The Great Highway became the Great Bikeway for a few giddy hours Sunday, as San Francisco turned over one of its busiest thoroughfares to thousands of bicyclists, pedestrians and skateboarders.
